This morning we had a small kitchen fire on Derry Street that was contained to just the stove and the cabinets. Good job to Nate Radic of Bressler Fire and Tom Leach of Paxtang Fire for their quick response and making a good stop on the fire with an ABC Extinguisher. Units were on the scene for about 35 minutes. |

This evening, Companies 40-44-45 "The Derry Street Express" had a fun training at Sausaman Park in Paxtang. Company 40 made up an obstacle course with pulling a dry 150 foot attack line and advancing it through cones. Next you advance a charged 150 foot attack line, under a table, then about 50 feet to 3 more tables. At this point your objective was to knock an appliance off the tables. This was all being tracked by a stop watch.
A good and sometimes wet time was had by all. Thank you company 40. We all ended the night at 3-B Ice Cream compliments of the 44 House since 45 bought the last time. Next time is 40.
